Kiana Richards This essay I am going to be writing about is about the constitutions and who is William Pierce, Houston, Few, and Abraham Baldwin. What was the Constitutional Convention of 1787 you ask? Well it was a convention that William Few and Abraham Baldwin were Georgia’s representatives. There were four delegates all together that Georgia sent. Few and Baldwin were two of them the other two was William Pierce and William Houston. That’s a lot of Williams. The delegates of Georgia were looking for two things from the convention were that they didn’t want to ban slavery (that’s mean). The second thing was they wanted a STRONG central government. William Few’s impact on the Constitution Convention was that he was a delegate that was a representative for the convention also he signed it to approve it. Abraham Baldwin's impact was the same thing another delegate that was a representative for the convention that signed it also to approve it. Also there was a Great Compromise. The Great Compromise was a compromise at the constitutional convention which the states agreed that the House of Representatives would be based on proportional representation and the Senate would have equal representation. Another form of compromise was the 3/5 compromise which was a 3 out of every slave would be counted for representation. Which meant when the state would vote, they would count the slaves to vote for the population vote. Last is that there is a new constitution. I think which was called the U.S. constitution because the Article of Confederation need to be revised which all the did was made a whole new constitution which was in 1788. Well that is the end of my essay. THE END
